Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Chicago' for 'CDT/-5.0/DST' instead in /backup/qa/www/sub/rss/product.php on line 32

I downloaded this app to see if I could use it to conveniently download end of day stock quotes. Creating a ticker list is easy, especially if you already have one. This application was very quick in retrieving the information into various formats. Some were much quicker than others. I processed over 12,000 tickers using the prn format in quick order.

One caveat is that you must be careful with certain tickers. For example, my ticker list included hub.b which is hub-b in the Databull database. Thus, no quote could be found for hub.b. In addition, hub.b did not show up in any exception list (probably a bug).

The above issue could be easily overcome with some exception processing if you know how to program or use Excel well.

Otherwise, I would recommend this app as a viable means of conveniently retrieving end of day prices.

I didn't test the other functions.
